Open Studio & Pit Firing

Sunday, November 1st, 11-2pm

This Sunday, 11/1 we are planning a pit-firing for our Wild Clay ceramics, and would love to extend an invitation to our community and local alumni to stop by. Let us know if you may plan to join us between 11-2pm. We will have cider!

Folks are invited to bring a small snack or dish to contribute potluck style to the day, if you plan to hang out for a while. The studios will be open, albeit fairly informally as there are no current resident artists. However, there are still wonderful sculptures in the meadow to wander by, and the fire will be on as we pit-fire our wild clay vessels, tiles and constructions under the expert eye of visiting faculty and alumnus, Jo Watko.

Parking is pretty limited at our spot. We encourage carpooling if you are stopping by with friends— and those who are able, to park at the bottom of the drive (you can drop off anything you need up top, and we can also help ferry you down and up as needed).

Please RSVP to hello@insitupolyculture.org for directions!

Scholarship Application

Open Studio & Pit Firing

All of us at In Situ Polyculture, the visiting faculty, and Main Street Arts want this course to be as accessible to as many interested people as possible. There are a limited number of scholarships available, and we will seek to award them using criteria of;

a) most need, and b) most likely to generously share their knowledge and skills learned.
