Proposed Residency Media: What type of media would you be working in while in residency?
This doesn't have to match your portfolio or creative example, but helps us understand more about your studio workspace and group dynamic needs. Be as detailed as you like.
Examples; painting, dance, research, meditation, sleep, writing, editing, installation sculpture, etc.
Optional: Do you have a Site-Specific Project Proposal?
Do you have a site-specific installation, sculpture or artistic investigation that you would like to realize on the commons? (Required)
Please give us some details about your optimal dates for arrival, departure and length of stay for each month you applied for. Most flexible month, least favorite month to come, etc? Specific accommodations, questions, concerns? (optional)
Please include any notes or questions about getting to and from In Situ Polyculture, concerns you have, or necessary accommodations to support disability or preferences. Help us understand how best we can support you.
Residency Fees (Please select all that apply)
(Required)
Residency fees are on a sliding-scale, with 3 suggested rates (per person per day). We will always work with artists to make residencies accessible— it is our goal to invest in artists and resource artists!
Suggested fees are: $50-$60 daily for those who can afford a reasonable rate
$15-25 for local artists / commuter rate & subsidized for those in economic need
$100+ daily for those who wish to invest in opportunities for other artists
Our residency fees go towards our artist stipend and scholarship funds, mutual aid investment in other art and ecology organizations, and to cover programming costs.
**Applications are decided upon based on merit, community and alignment with our mission, economic need does not "count against" an applicant.
I understand the fee schedule, and will honor one of the suggested residency fee rates if invited for a residency.
I would like to be considered for a gift residency with no fee, but am interested in attending whether or not I am offered one.
I would like to be considered for a gift residency with no fee and will not be able to attend otherwise.
I would like to be considered for both a gift residency & travel reimbursement award of up to $600.
